Proiectul european "lille3000"

Prezentarea proiectului

CALL FOR PROJECTS – DANCE / THEATRE
In 2004, Lille, the biggest city in Northern France, was European Capital of Culture.
Artists and residents transformed the city throughout the year and left landmarks which will remain in the
collective memory and in reality: the Metamorphoses and Mondes Parallèles, the maisons Folie, the
festivals, celebrations, music, dance, design, theatre, clubbing, open air events… and, above all, an
amazing enthusiasm.
This dynamic is extended further by lille3000, encompassing the wider world and questions about the
future, by making full use of the know-how and the attributes of the Lille metropolitan area and
surrounding region.
Lille3000 explores various fields: the idea of a new urban lifestyle and the construction of the city of
tomorrow, notions of spirituality and questions related to society and culture in general.
Each edition of lille3000 – several months long – represents an opening out to the wider world, with an
energy reminiscent of that of Lille 2004, involving several towns and cities on a local and an Euro-regional
scale. In 2006, contemporary India provided the theme to a multicoloured season of events called
“Bombaysers de Lille”; in 2009, the focus will be on Eastern and Central Europe, the Balkans and the city
of Istanbul, under the title “Invisible Borders – East is the new West is the new East”.
For more information on lille3000, please visit: http://www.lille3000.com (link to Lille 2004 ECOC).
Lille3000 proposes a call for projects for 2009:
Within the framework of its edition 2009, lille3000 is organising two events about the choreographic and
the dramatic creation coming from Central and Eastern Europe, from the Baltic states to Istanbul, in order
to bring to the fore the young talents of European dance and theatre and to explore the invisible borders of
today’s Europe, twenty years after the fall of the Berlin wall.
These events will propose a marathon of performances for spectators, gathering about fifteen companies
in several places in the Metropole of Lille.
Dance will be centre stage from 25 to 29 March 2009.
Theatre will be centre stage from 5 to 7 June 2009.
To programme this festival, lille3000 is launching a call for projects which is aimed at the new generations
of artists and companies of Central and Eastern Europe, from the Baltic states to Istanbul, who are little
known or entirely unknown to French audiences, and more particularly at independent companies and
artists working on the renewal of the language of theatre, researching new forms of representation and
blending artistic disciplines.
Stage 1
Each candidate artist/group will send lille3000 by 15 March 2008 at the latest, an application file succinctly
presenting the project or the production proposal accompanied obligatorily by visual materials (photos,
videos, DVD).
This application will include a technical information sheet specifying the number of participants, artists and
technicians, as well as the stage space and the sound and lighting equipment required.
From 15 March 2008, lille3000 will select the artists and companies, which will take part in the Dance or in
the Theatre event.
To send the application files:
By post: lille3000

59 777 Euralille

By e-mail : contact@lille3000.com
Stage 2
Each team will be invited to come and present its production in a venue of the metropolitan area
corresponding to the particularities of the proposal.
Lille3000 will take charge of the following expenses:
The transfer of the production, limited to 2,500 € maximum for one performance, to be modulated
according to the production.
Travel and transport costs for staff and equipment.
Accommodation and daily indemnities for the participants.
The technical costs for hosting the production.
